Trump is bored. He doesn’t have enough of anything: money, real estate, power, countries to control. He is even bored of peace. Just last week he told CNBC reporter E. Javers he didn’t “care if (Iranian diplomacy) talks are over, honestly.” They were “starting to get very boring”. Our power hungry, imperialist president first wanted Canada. Then Greenland, Venezuela, Iran and soon Cuba. And he’ll take them by force, if necessary, he says

stumbled across a headline a couple of weeks back that caught my attention. It was about William McKinley, the 25th President serving from 1897 to 1901. The article talked about his affinity for tariffs and specifically how he used them to coerce Canada into becoming part of the U.S. That mirrors what our current president has tried, right? I looked a little deeper into McKinley and found some interesting parallels to today.

I’m a person who usually has lots of energy, but I’m always tired lately. I’m also a worrywart, which I know can contribute to chronic fatigue. I know I should stop worrying but with so much to be bothered by how do I stop?

The president signed an Executive Order (EO) last Tuesday that will establish a National List of Citizens that his Department of Justice (DOJ) will use to determine if you and I are eligible to vote…or NOT. The first thing I thought of when I read this was the 1939 Nazi compiled Deutsche Volksliste (German People’s List), and you too might recall from history what that was ultimately used for.

I am typically a “glass half full” kind of person, but this week I am struggling to stay optimistic in the light of daily, tragic news.

If ever Our America needed leaders who are clear thinkers and communicators, it is now. As I write this it is day 6 of Operation Epic Fury, a WAR by the choice of one man, not necessity; a WAR where we struck first without distinct provocation or imminent threat; a deadly WAR (6 Americans and over 1200 Iranians killed so far); a WAR with “no clear objective” per V.P. As a parent and grandparent who always stresses truth to them, I’ve been upset about constant lies, half-truths, and obviously distorted facts from politicians….most of them, it sadly seems. After watching the State of The Union Address and listening to the champion of liars, I decided to do a dive into habitual/pathological liars and what makes them tick. In this era of an “anything goes” mentality – do anything and say anything you want – I’m thinking it’s time for we “normal folks” (the folks President Obama spoke of last week) to role model good behavior and call-out bad behavior at every turn….taking action that is reminiscent of tough parenting.
